Fleur Barling

Fleur Barling

Every week we highlight one of the incredible women that make up our Cursus Collective community. Women who run with heart, chase goals, and inspire the rest of us to do the same. This week, it’s Fleur Barling 🤎

We asked Fleur about the challenges of balancing running with life commitments and how she found consistency and achievement with her running during this period.

This year I’ve juggled studying critical care nursing, assessments and exams as well as nursing in ICU and Emergency.

I’ve been coached by Jason Daye who has supported me with accountability and fulfilling over 80kms of running per week. Despite my study and work load, I’ve managed to achieve personal bests across all race distances.

I’ve learnt that reaching my goals isn’t something that I do alone. I also have a very supportive partner who is passionate about the sport.

My next race is the Port Fairy marathon in February where I’d love to lower my PB of 2:54 as well as my half marathon time at Ballarat of 1:22. I missed out on Sydney so I’m excited to have entered Sunshine Coast marathon next year.
